Mixed Emotions Studio--Middleton, MA Oct 1 Yesterday, we were thrilled to spend a day in the Studio with Kenny Lewis @ Mixed Emotions Studio; Middleton, MA. http://www.myspace.com/mixedemotionsmusic2 Please check out the site.. this guy is talented, super easy going, and knows his craft. He has done work with some people you know. He also scored a #1 on Billboard. So plz.. take a look! Tyler and I laid down bass and drums for "Whitewater." We debuted this song at the Newport Blues Cafe last week. Kenny got me a good bass sound within minutes. I honestly can say, I dont think I ever got a good sound so quick. In fact, I have never been 100% satisfied with my sound in the studio, before. Tyler ripped thru a nice drum take as well. We played...

continued... it live but we weren't in our customary position side-by-side. Kenny had a nice clean mix in the room so I could "feel" Tyler real well. Mark was in the process of laying down an acoustic track, but suffered from countless string breaks. Reminded me of "Crambone" from Tom and Jerry. Jerry's uncle with the crazy 'stash kept breaking a string and pulling out Tom's whiskers to replace the string. Except, Tom was not around... "Where's that damn cat!?" Overall, on a personal level, I felt very comfortable with the whole day, and I am excited about my bass line. Hopefully, I'll be able to be present when Mark and Kenny re-schedule.

I am meeting my friends Sully and Sully (both work on the Big Dig) at the Harp (pronounced "HOP") tonight after work. Care to join? We are not performing for a few weekends but we may see some last minute sows added in the next couple of weeks. We are planning to participate in a benefit for Alzheimer's Disease (South County, RI) in the next month or two. Stay tuned. We, Typhoon Ferri want to thank all of those who danced, shook, bought CDs, told a friend, added us on MySpace, gave a darn, uttered our name, booked us a show, party and/or wedding. 2006 was a nice year. We played new venues, began new songs. In early 207 we will be releasing a new EP. Yesterday, we laid down the foundation for 3 more songs ("Time To Overcome," "Good for Nothin'," and "Movin' on it's Own,") with Kenny Lewis at Mixed Emotions Music in Middleton, MA.
