Typhoon Ferri To Begin Work On New Disc Well, we have put to rest our original EP, produced in 1999. My ,we've come a long way. It is great to see people still enjoy the songs. If you have a copy... I guess we can say it may be a collector's item to fans! I remember recording that like it was yesterday. An interesting time. I still wonder if Mark ever recovered his voice when I made him scream in "Infamous" a bunch of times. Sorry, Mark! Detergency was the best and worst experience the band has ever seen. Studio crashes, clashing heads, my dealing with new medications, erratic producers, engineers and side hands, home recording, too much over dubbing.. etc.. But what I love about Detergency is that it IS TYPHOON FERRI. It was the most intense collaborative effort...

continued... in writing and structuring the songs. The majority of the songs were written in the Laundry Room at 34 Winship St in Brighton, MA. Some of the songs even were born without premeditation. I think "Elisha Brown" and "Dark Age Disco" are good examples. I am still damn proud of it. Mark really ed the recording of that and learned a lot so we can do more recording on our own. A true genius. Our new CD is pretty much a little change of pace. The songs may not be as eclectic, but they are Ron Bennett Toe Tappers and freakin' catchy. Some snippets have been put out on the internet. Mark is creatively peaking right now... he has so many songs that are in the can that won't see the light with TF, but I bet they are still great songs
