Typhoon Ferri has performed over 500 shows since their inception so they are an accomplished live music act. If you are looking for a good show to see live, I suggest TF. Music is a strange phenomenon. It's sort of like a friend and a roomate. Sometimes the best roomates make bad friends and vice versa. This is the same with songs and live shows. Sometimes the best songs are terrible live because they lose the studio music quality, and sometimes the best live music is crappy in the studio because the song structure just isn't there. Typhoon Ferri has a good mix of both of these things. Their live sound is energetic and dance-able and they carry a very strong musicianship to the stage every time. On the other hand, their studio music is live by feel, but polished music...

continued... with solid structure. Live music is one of those things that I hold near and dear to my heart. I have been to countless shows in manhattan since I arrived here for school. When I see live musicianship such as Typhoon Ferri's, I make a point to go see them often. They are not my favorite band (a title i reserve for the allman brothers) but these guys are a good catch every time i see one of their live shows. Music live is a passion of mine, and nothing is more enjoyable than catching a lesser known band in a room that is uncrowded and the experience is something that never gets old.
