I was a bit skeptical when I got the invite to the John Mayer concert. I had seen his video with the teenagers boppin around and I thought it wasn't going to be my style. However, the John Mayer concert was pretty good overall. I enjoyed hearing his jazz influenced guitar work, though it was a bit forced at times. His lyrics are not my favorite point about his music (considering he writes a song about his lunch box or something like that) but the songwriting is very good. I found it to be a fun experience. I have the album that he came out with a few years ago and It's a constant staple in my 20 disc changer. I guess...

continued... you could say it's in my top 50 all time. So anyways next time I get the chance to check out a John Mayer concert, I won't be so hesitant about it. The only thing that I did not enjoy was the lines at the bathroom, and that's something to be expected at any major concert. In fact, the reason I'm submitting this story to the Typhoon Ferri website is that I believe their styles overlap a little bit and there is some good things happening in the world of music because quality sounds like this are getting recognized. John Mayer concert in 2006 or bust!
