I have a firewire drive at my apartment with all the free new music downloads that a person could ask for. Firewire is an excellent way of transferring large files because it has a high bandwidth and free music that has been downloaded on your home PC can easily make it to a new location such as your work hard drive or your IPOD or your friend's computer because the firewire technology is extremely efficient. I believe the new music downloads that are free and available on my personal fire wire drive are all legal new downloads. I make a point of purchasing the downloads or just getting them from independent musicians such as Typhoon Ferri. This is why I offered to write a few info blogs for the band. New music

The firewire drives are now going for about $100 bucks and you can get about 200 megs for that kind of money. A pretty good deal, I gotta say. If I were to make a pass at overhauling my PC and equipment and all my new free music downloads, I would probably start with a mac system and firewire transfer and of course use the IPOD. New music downloads are the easy part. The downloads avaialable at TyphoonFerri.com are a great starting point. I love the collection that I built up, and the Typhoon Ferri tracks are steady ingredients.
