People ask me all the time, "where is the best place online to buy cds?" Its a tough question really. I usually try to get some at auction sites, or the sites that specialize in half-off cd sales. There's one rule that a person should follow when he/she buys cds: don't buy online if you can get a better price at a mom and pop shop. The mom and pops are still out there. Even though the world wide web seems to have sucked the life out of our world wide street shops, there are still lots of great places in your urban block where you can buy cds. In yo ear records, for example, with many branches in the Boston area. This is a great place to buy cds. I picked up a copy of a live Curtis Mayfield album there and it felt good to support the mom and pop shop. The fun thing about browsing the ailes in a second hand music

A lot of people ask me, what do you do with the jewel cases when you buy cds? When I buy cds, I usually throw the jewel case in the recycling bin and just slide the cover art and the disc itself into my book of cds. I really enjoy the proccess of flipping through to see all the cds i purchased. Every time I buy a CD it becomes a memory of some kind. I can remember where I was when I bought my first beatles album. It was a record store in harvard square which no longer exists. The thing is, I may never have bought it unless the store manager encouraged me to do so. He basically said he couldn't believe that I had never purchased a beatles cd. Funny how it just takes the encouragement of one person to get you into music.

Some people were agry that the band's show was cut short. The party was fantastic. Many drunk peoplewere there.
