The best music downloads are, of course, the ones that are free. We know that the easiest way to get our hands on the best music is now gone. Napster in its heyday was a free-for-all. However, most people underestimate just how wonderful some of the free legal mp3s available online really are. When I am searching for the best music downloads that the web has to offer, i am looking for variety. It's easy to fill up your player with albums that you rip from your cd collection, but the problem that occurs in that situation is that your player has no variety. Maybe you burn your jock jams cd, or maybe you have the Immaculate Collection and you burn that, or some other mix cd. But the best music downloads are those that come from unsigned bands. You can get a large variety and a number of tracks that you wouldn't otherwise hear. I have been downloading the typhoon ferri stuff every time something new is available online. The latest stuff is the best by far. Best music downloads...

continued... I have picked up have come from TF and also from a band in NYC that I really enjoy. When it comes to bands, I usually do a lot of sharing of the love. That is, when I hear something good, I like to let other people know. Movies and music have a grassroots growth quality. Everybody has people in their lives that they can rely on for good advice. It's not a question of whether the song is good, or the music is good, or the movie is good, or the book is good, or whatever the created work is... It's a question of whether it fits the person. So, when somebody recommends a song to you, they are thinking about your personal qualities. Art matches humans in a very strange way. It's almost like art on art. When a movie producer picks a theme song for his movie, he's matching one art form with another. When a friend recommends a movie, they are doing something similar. They are matching the creative work with the human work. So it's really a wonderful thing when you have somebody in your life who can do this for you.

But now that the chaos is over, we want to make things right again, so please join us for a free show Saturday, July 31 at the Blackhorse Tavern/Durgin Park in Fanueil Hall Marketplace, Boston, MA. Show time is 9:30pm.... It is hard to believe that the summer is closing ot. But, we are excited about the fall; DETERGENCY, our new CD is nearly complete and we are playing some great new venues; BROTHER JIMMIES (formerly The House of Blues, Cambridge, MA...we finally return after our sell out show) TUE Sept 14. It will be a free show so it should make up for it being - best music downloads. Typhoon Ferri News from September 2006Mark and AJ will perform a special acoustic set on October 7, 2006; opening for Max Creek. This is part of Sunday River's Fall Fest. Start time for the duo is 12pm, playing an hour set. Max Creek i best music downloads legendary in these circles, playing jam/Grateful Dead music.
