Spring Studio/New CD Report Current mood: content Saturday...May 19 11am @ Mixed Emotions Studio; Middleton, MA I was running a bit late...expected a 12pm arrival and probably arrived closer to 2. It as a slow start for me, but I am sorry I got there when I did... Moving on... Kenny (Bobby McFerrin) Lewis was manning the boards. Ty worked on drum sounds for "Movin on its Own" and "Overcome." Kenny does a smashing job and putting what is in Tyler;s mind onto the CD. I told him that JPJ and FLEA are my boys; that low end warmth and "blanket." Then you sprinkle a little treble and crispness for the funk. He got it quick. We are taking these bounces and listening in various sound systems, to get a feel for the overall mix. Can't say enough about Kenny. After that I was off to my boy Josh;s (and LaRonna) pad in Brighton. We had a few treats. Then, it was Asgard Cambridge MASS where...

Some tracks won't make it here, but we will probably make our own recording of it and put it on the net. "US Embassy" may be headed that way. Typhoon Ferri News from May 2004music entertainmentWhhhheeeeeewww.. time to catch our breath. All was well worth it this week. A little AJ misfortune turned to gold as we enjoyed a great weekend. We had a successful debut at the Newport Blues Cafe. Thank you so much to the Myrow Entertaimnet Group for the opportunity and to Linda and all the staff here. MAD props (I sound like Stuart Scott) to Brian the soundman; who arguably gave us the best sound we ever heard. We'll be back July 1. Please do not miss that show. It WILL be HOT.
